It is the first time the Uefa-approved teaching degree has been granted to a former Uefana-Bundesliga player.

The French international has spent four years in Sion, making his senior debut in 2014.

“I was very pleased to hear that the club had received my teaching degree,” the 31-year-old said.

“I’m very pleased for the club, especially the fans, who are always looking for new talent.”

Uefa will be reviewing the application for the next three years and will take a decision in December, but the midfielder feels the experience has helped him to prepare himself for the future.

“He’s been training in the U17s for the last three years, so he is a good addition to the team.””
