The beauty of Outreach Managed Services is that Outreach Agents do not need to be technicians or IT experts. They need to do exactly what they have done in Telecom for years. That is: they need to uncover customer problems in search of a solution. Once the Agent finds a customer with a problem, the Outreach Managed Services program kicks into gear to solve that customer problem.
Here is how it works:
The Problems:
- Telecom Agent (now a Technology Agent) finds a customer that has an IT problem. The customer needs new computers, servers, switches, routers, backup, network management and help desk.
- The customer uses a local “IT Guy” who sells them IT hardware, software and charges for on-site visits and repairs. The IT Guy is OK but the customer has three locations that are geographically distributed across the country. The local IT Guy can only serve one site regularly. So problems that can’t be solved remotely for the other two locations are and ongoing issue.
- The customer also has a VERY TIGHT budget and little access to the financial capital needed to make the purchase.
The Process:
- The Outreach Agent, having uncovered the customers problems engages Outreach to build a customer solution.
- Addressing each problem Outreach crafts a proposal and price quote that SOLVES THE PROBLEMS, without any need for the Agent to discuss the “bits and bytes” of IT. They discuss problem resolution. (We have the training in place today to teach you how to do this. It’s easy.)
The Solution:
- The Solution to Problem 1 above (replacement Hardware, Software and Services problems) includes:
- Replacement of all computers with new Intel processor based PC’s, Laptops, notebooks and servers.
- It includes a professionally managed and maintained Firewall to improve network security.
- It includes a full on-site, automated Backup and Disaster Recovery server plus a regular automated upload of the data to secure cloud based servers.
- It includes and “All – You – Can – Eat” help desk to let users get the assistance they need.
- It includes 24 x 7 x 365 network monitoring to address and solve problems before the customer sees them.
- It includes software applications and update patch management.
- It includes software license protection.
- It includes next day, no questions asked, free replacement of broken hardware.
- It includes all on-site installation.
- It includes all on-site maintenance.
- It includes all repair parts for the life of the Agreement.
- This solves Problem 1 above and then some!

- The Solution to Problem 2 above (logistical problems) is:
- Outreach uses Outreach Managed Services national dealer base to provide the on-site IT support. This includes:
- The Outreach Agent and Outreach must approve the local Outreach Managed Services dealer to be engeged in the opportunity. So conflicts are prevented before they occur.
- The Outreach Agent and Outreach “Own” the customer. The Outreach Managed Services Dealer is contractually prevented from competing with the Outreach Agent.
- The Outreach Managed Services dealers (in this example, one in each city or a Outreach Managed Services dealer with the ability to serve all locations) does Pre-sale site surveys.
- The Outreach Managed Services dealer confirms the technical aspects of the configuration. They are, in essence, our sales engineers and installers.
- When the sale is completed the on-site work at each location is done by the Outreach Managed Services dealer.
- This solves Problem 2 above completely!
- Outreach uses Outreach Managed Services national dealer base to provide the on-site IT support. This includes:
- The Solution to Problem 3 above (financial problems) is:
- Using Outreach Managed Services unique HaaS (Hardware as a Service) model, there is no capital expense. The customer pays a Flat Rate IT service charge each month that includes everything listed above.
- There is NO LEASE.
- There is no need to borrow money from the bank.
- This is an off balance sheet, operational expense that may be a large tax deductible expense.
- The bill comes each month to the customer at a cost less than what they would spend for an on-site IT person alone. And it includes EVERYTHING listed above!
- Using Outreach Managed Services unique HaaS (Hardware as a Service) model, there is no capital expense. The customer pays a Flat Rate IT service charge each month that includes everything listed above.
What’s in it for the Outreach Agent?
- Average increase in revenue versus telecom alone by adding Flat Rate IT from Outreach Managed Services is three to five times more revenue per month.
